You Can Now Stream Videos For Free On 9mobile

Cirphrank
I don't know if this is going to be permanent or my thoughts are right and it's just going to be temporary in a bid for them to make up for the losses that arose from the massive network downtime which happened recently and left a number of people decamping and even more loosing interest in subscribing to their not really cheap data plans but thing is:

Streaming YouTube videos is absolutely free with 9mobile!!!

Me when I saw it at first:

If this is some sort of juju, they best know it is taking toll on me gradually and is already working fully on a number of folks already.

They made the anouncement yesterday in not so formal a way, they simply went on their Instagram like:
Did you know you can actually stream YouTube videos absolutely free?

There has to be a catch to it, a big one, right? that's what you thinking? well, there's a catch, a big one is what I thought to, but thing is it's pretty small. Nothing really special, Just purchase any of their monthly data plan and are free to stream YouTube videos totally free, from the hours of 1am - 5am.

You see there's no big catch to it, especially for folks like me that find it hard to sleep at night in the first place. I feel this is a great strategy, and I might be going for the next once this current subscription is done with, what do you think?

Bad News: TELCO Companies Wants To Gas Up Prices

Cirphrank
For a while now, the telecommunication companies in the country has been agitating for some cuts, claiming people hardly indulge in the native things that brings yield anymore but rather are more active on the internet, making less calls and sending less native form of  text messages.

If their requests are met by appropriate regulators in the telecommunication industry, that would see consumers paying literally double of the current prices for same value or even less, both calls and data wise.

According to DailyTrust, they complained of rising cost of production and that they could no longer carry on with current call and data prices.

“The costs of expanding capacity and their networks have increased with the devaluation of the Naira against the US Dollars, and most consumers now spend less on telecommunication services, especially voice calls, compared to previous years” -An Official From NCC under anonymity as he had not been cleared to.
It is know that In the last 10 years, a drastic reduction had been recorded in call and data tariffs. If their requests are met, On-Net and Off-Net per minute tariffs which now stand at N12.01k and N12.64 will be N24.02 and N25.28, respectively at least.

The Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) had complained of decreasing revenue of its members due to increasing operating cost and intrusion of Over The Top services, which some are due to the fact that Naira practically fell dead against the dollar.

Meanwhile; the National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMS) has advised NCC not to review the rates for voice and data services upward.

“I don’t think this is the right time to do any upward review. Government and its agencies, and the operators should be sensitive to the plight of the people.“’They should understand that we are just coming out of recession and subscribers shouldn’t be confronted with this again,’’ Ogunbanjo said.

And there you have it people, what do you think of this? For me? This people should awaken their conscience, internet is free in Sweden and these ones are here agitating to rip us off!

How To Connect Xender To Laptop, Even When You Already Have Hotspot on For Your Laptop.

Cirphrank
Xender is one fine piece of file sharing app that makes use of WIFI to power its transfer protocol, with time since its inception, Xender has witnessed an impressive number of changes, one of them is that which makes it possible to connect one's phone to PC for easy file transfer.

Albeit, thing is, for that to happen, by default the data needs to be off and an hotspot would be created by Xender, well, in this post, what I am going to be showing us quickly is how to make the connection still happen even with your data is on and when you already have your phone sharing the data with your PC via your own custom hotspot.

   How To:

1.) Open the Xender app on your phone
2.) Click on receive file
3.) Tap on connect to PC by the bottom right
4.) (By now your data or hotspot or both would be off) draw down the notification bar and see to it that they are on.
5.) You should see something like SCAN... (like in the screenshot below)

6.) Now open a browser on your PC, type in web.xender.com in the address bar and hit go
7.) A bar code will show up, click scan on your phone now and scan the barcode on the PC using your camera.

*In about 5secs if you performed the steps right, you should hear a click sound and nep pages displayed on both devices and voila! Your gadgets are linked.
You can now share away, even as you browse, you can download on the go and share immediately to your phone without having to break your internet connection. Happy file sharing pal!

Details On The All New Airtel Unlimited Plans

    Cirphrank
You'd recall me telling us in this post that our dear Airtel has released an all new data package with unlimited plans. Well, in this post, you'd be learning how really unlimited the plans are.

Now the thing, data don't really zap on these packages but they are in some way limited though the limit at which the are capped is yet to be made known but the limit at which the speed get throttled is not unknown.

      THE DETAILS

       The 10K Plans:

    • Fair user policy applies once you passed 40GB (begins to throttle at the speed of 256kb)
    • Validity Period is 30 days
    • Rollover doesn’t apply
    • Dial *462*10# to activate

       The 15K Plans:

    • Fair user policy applies once you passed 65GB (begins to throttle at the speed of 256kb)
    • Validity Period is 30 days
    • Rollover doesn’t apply
    • Dial *462*15#

       The 15K Plans:

    • Fair user policy applies once you passed 100GB (begins to throttle at the speed of 256kb)
    • Validity Period is 30 days
    • Rollover doesn’t apply
    • Dial  *462*20#
And there you go, the details on the plans, but from the look of the plans though they are not for the everyday user, if you are the type that cannot finish even just 10GB in a month, don't bother wasting the subscription. But one of the perks is, it can be connect to multiple devices, hence you a mini data consumer and you still want in? Gang up!

How To Get 1.4GB for N500 (MTN)

    Cirphrank
Morning there. In this post I'l be showing you how to get 1,375MB from MTN for just N500 only. And no tweaking of IMEI involved, just got to dumbfound the system.

First off, if you want the MB to last for a month you need to have done(recently)/do a sub of one month and finish the 1.5GB maybe in 5days or 7. Now you move on to manipulating protocols.

    How To Get The 1.5GB;

Migrate To MTN pulse if you are not on it already. Dial *406# to do so. (You'll like the plan, call rate is awesome)

Reason: on MTN pulse, you don't get 750mb for N500, you get 1GB instead. Based on logistics😉

Now if you've recently subscribed as earlier stated, you must have gotten the kind of message in the screenshot below as MTN is sending it out to virtually almost all their customers.

And thereafter, dial *406# and follow the prompt for one gigabyte sub or do it through *131# under weekly subs.

Well, it's supposed to last for just a week but hence the reason for the first step which if you had like 20days left unused of the month's sub, 7days will be added from the day you sub to the 1week and would eventually leave you with a validity period that's literally a month.

And oh, being that you on the data offer, the 750 supposed original data allowance for the 500naira sub would be halved and added to the 1GB you'll be given.

And that's it people. It's what I've and will be using till I find a way around this Android6 IMEI tweaking problem, without using PC. Enjoy.

    Do share.

It's official! Etisalat is now 9mobile (Proof)

    Cirphrank
Remember how I flag the name as just a rumour as far as officiality is concerned so far? Well, things just started getting official and yes, it is 9mobile.

Up until yesterday, they still rolled out notifications using the etisalat brand name, but here the come today, rolling out notification as you can see in the shot above with the name 9mobile.

And then about 2hours earlier, the deleted all old posts on IG and changed name to 9mobile_ng and then posted the below pics:

What do you think of the name? Hit or miss?

(With the "_ng" could it be that there is actually 9mobile in another country?)

    Airtel UNLIMITED is here!!!

    Cirphrank
Morning people, airtel said the most amazing good morning to us all this Monday. Remember how they hinted that Unlimited is coming? Well, it is here!
    Earlier this morning, they revealed the plans as regards the unlimited subscriptions on via a video on their social media pages, it shows that the unlimited plan has 3 packages;

    Unlimited 10 for N10,000
    Unlimited 15 for N15,000
    Unlimited 20 for N20,000

Check out the video below yourself:

      How To Activate The Packages

    1.) For N10,000 Unlimited package, dial *471#
    2.) For N15,000 Unlimited package, dial *463#
    3.) For N20,000 unlimited package, dial *351#

Not so price friendly considering the validity period for the 3 packages is a month but if it truly is unlimited and not capped at some number of GIG like most other unlimited we know of are? it is worth it!

      What do you think?

      Etisalat Really 9mobile Already?

      Cirphrank
Okay, listen up. Etisalat Nig. runs into this N541 billion debt and a major investor of theirs, the Mubadala group from UAE pulls out and issues a name change mandate, so what? that automatically names them 9mobile.

Well, I'm not even here to discuss how a head of theirs claimed they still have all rights to go on with the name but here's the thing, even though big publication houses have peddled the so calledname change, it remains so unofficial and a super mere speculation!

Have you seen any official publication from the telco brand herself? Have they made public officially their resort as regards the name issue??? No!

      NO! NO! NO!

Check up their social pages online and you'll see the case is that they're going about their day to day activities like no one even pulled out. Please mind what you believe and let's watch what we circulate.

Meanwhile, that they are likely to change names don't mean all incumbent services will shut down, just in case you asked in your mind. When I last spoke with a rep of theirs, the worse that'll happen is that they'll change names but their services are to stay same only for improvements, and no form of deactivation of sims or services will take place.

You can even feel that in the recent promos they launched which you can partake of  simply by dialing *819*1# 10X your first recharge daily for a full month.!!!

Airtel is upto something, and it's unlimited!

      Cirphrank
Well, people of God, here we go, seems like better days are about to dawn on us and the true grand masters of tech in my own view seems to be the ones that would be championing the cause.

Well, in a number of countries which I'm not about to start naming, Data Costs Nothing.

But back to Nigeria, we all know Data is either something that zaps or snails up. But if we are to go along with what Airtel NG had been hinting at since earlier this week, we are to be believe thigs are about to get better "unlimitedly" . That's according to the adverts they have been sharing starring their amazing Gabriel Afolayan whose humor in the adverts make them top notch.

In the adverts, the guy puts up hard terms for sharing his data as he's watching out for his limited subscriptions. The adverts are just a minute each, but one minute of awesomeness  must say, Airtel did nail it.

Well, after seeing these, we can only hope for the best, I hope this don't end up really awry.

Off Topic Notice:For once I thought of titling this post: "who has seen airtel recent awsome ads?" For real, don't you think their ads has been cool recently???

The MTN 1GB Tweak (How it works)

      Cirphrank

As clearly detailed in the image above, you can get an unsanctioned freebie of 1GB from MTN that'll be valid for three days for free, of course free, that's what makes it a freebie.

To get it, you simply send My App to 131, thereafter send Stop My App To 131. Now repeat the process.

Warning: Do not try to accumulate more than 1GB as that would end you up in the blacklist. That is, do not perform the process more than 10X.

What happens if you get blacklisted?

Well a guy asked me if his sim would die? Funny, well, when you get blacklisted, MTN sends your number to the SSS who in turn logs your identity with the CIA at Langley for terrorist check, and the SSS keeps your person under 24 hours surveillance, your every move is being monitored and every on/off-line transaction is being tracked... HELL NO! Chill man, I'm just kidding, you being blacklisted only bars you from the My App service and related services. Oya go and enjoy the tweak.
